Since their creation almost 50 years ago, Good Luck Troll Dolls have been a consistent best seller. It is also recognized as one of the hundred best toys ever made. Since 2003, troll dolls have all but disappeared from the market place. Now, after a decade hiatus, Dark Horse is bringing back troll dolls in a unique way: in a collector series format.
The first collection of Troll dolls will be 15 unique designs in a variety of colors, patterns and designs each meant to pique the interest of collectors. Included in the first collection will be metallic, glitter, flecked, glow-in-the-dark and black-light sensitive variants. These variants will be scattered though the more common variants in a random assortment.
To offer some variety in the standard troll doll, Dark Horse is going to vary the colors of the hairs. Some will be green haired, some pink and every other color you can think of.
Attendees of the San Diego Comic Con who are also fans of Troll Dolls are encouraged to swing by the Dark Horse booth to purchase a limited edition white haired troll doll. Limited to 1500 units, this exclusive doll is also responsive to a Black Light.
