We’re getting our first look at the next feature-length animated film from DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. The trailer, attached to the release of Justice League Dark, was first announced last year at San Diego Comic-Con.
The story is adapted from an original Teen Titans story arc of the same name written by Marv Wolfman and George Perez in 1984. The Titans face a betrayal from within their ranks that rocks the team to its core.
Stuart Allan, Sean Maher, Kari Wahlgren, Jake T. Austin, Taissa Farmiga, Brandon Soo Hoo reprise their voice roles of Robin (Damian Wayne), Nightwing, Starfire, Blue Beetle, Raven and Beast Boy. Joining the cast is the late Miguel Ferrer as Deathstroke who passed away the day it was announced he was attached to the film and Christina Ricci as Terra.
The Judas Contract adaptation was originally planned to be the third animated feature to be released after Superman: Doomsday and Justice League: Final Frontier, but the project was shelved. Last July it was announced that movie was moving forward as a sequel to Justice League vs Teen Titans.
The original The Judas Contract is where Dick Grayson officially transitioned from Robin to Nightwing. The second season of Teen Titans on Cartoon Network also featured an adaptation of The Judas Contract.
