Review – Marvel Legends: Hulkbuster

Straight from Avengers: Age of Ultron comes Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 3 Hulkbuster Build-A-Figure.  This massive behemoth of an action figure takes seven regular Marvel Legends figures in order to build it.  But what is not good for your wallet makes up for how amazing the Hulkbuster looks when it is fully assembled.

For the uninitiated, a “build-a-figure” or BAF is a series release of action figures, usually five or six, that each contains a piece to assemble another larger figure.  These BAF collections are highly sought after by fans and collectors.  The Hulkbuster is my second BAF that I have collected.  My first was Groot from Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Infinite Series.  It was really my first introduction to BAFs, but I knew that I had to have that Groot figure.  I was wise my first time and purchased all the figures in the series at one time.  In truth, I just wanted Rocket Raccoon and Groot, but I had to buy the entire series to get what I wanted.

Each of the seven figures in this series cost in the neighborhood of $20 each, so it took a bit of contemplation on my part to decide whether to pull the trigger on that big a purchase.  My hesitation nearly ended in not being able to get all seven of the figures.  The line up of legends is nearly as impressive as the prize of the Hulkbuster itself.  Made up of Iron Man, War Machine, Doctor Strange, Blizzard, Vision, Thundra, and Valkyrie.  All of the figures were relatively easy to find, except Vision.  And that is where my procrastination paid off a little as I was able to find a few of them on clearance.  However, Vision required some effort.  I spent the better part of a day going from store to store looking for him…a “Vision quest” if you will.

So without further delay, here is my video review of the Marvel Legends Hulkbuster BAF.
