Beatles and Star Wars Fans Come Together

Palette-Swap Ninja

Jude and Dan of Palette-Swap Ninja

If you are a fan of The Beatles and Star Wars, then this parody album is right up your alley.  Palette-Swap Ninja has put together this brilliantly performed parody of Star Wars music set to the music of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.  The album took the duo five years to complete, having to re-write the lyrics in the theme of Star Wars: A New Hope.  Each song matches the exact running order of the Sgt. Pepper’s album.

Even if you are not a fan of The Beatles, this album is worth taking a listen to.  The re-written lyrics are clever and humorous while giving you a fun-filled look back at the original Star Wars film that started the worldwide phenomenon.

The entire album is available for free to download at the group’s website http://www.paletteswapninja.com/.  There is also a YouTube channel with videos for each song with the lyrics overlaid so you can sing along and see just how much time, effort, and devotion it took to make the album.

The full running order is below.

  1. Princess Leia’s Stolen Death Star Plans (originally Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band)
  2. With Illicit Help From Your Friends (With a Little Help from My Friends)
  3. Luke Is In The Desert (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds)
  4. Never Better (Getting Better)
