Moony Cosplay
Alice in Wonderland original!

How did you first get into cosplay?

I have always loved doing theater and I loved anime. So, when with I know cosplay in 2010, I joined my two passions

Do you cosplay just for fun or do you see it as a stepping stone to a future career?

Only for fun. I don’t think that there may be for all a career with the cosplay and if I definitely enjoy it all (costume and role) is better. so for the moment I just enjoy myself cosplaying.

Do you prefer to make your cosplays from scratch, buy or commission them or a hybrid?

I’m a cos-maker. I love making my cosplays myself. It’s very funny!

How much time do you spend making each of your cosplays?

1- 2 weeks.

What is your favorite cosplay you done so far?

Anna of Arendelle, The children ran to embrace me.<3  I love Fem THOR too…thinking about it…I love them all.

What has been your most memorable experience (good or bad) as a cosplayer?

One day I had worn the cosplay of Anna from Frozen. I had just changed, no wig, no makeup, no contact lenses. A girl approaching me and looks at me intently, then says, “You are Anna!”
I tell her quiet “You’re wrong, my eyes are different, the hair is different too, how can you say that I am Anna?” The girl thinks and thinks, and then satisfied says “You have the same nail’s art, then you’re Anna!.” I have never laughed so much.

How do you feel about group cosplays?

I love being in groups. It makes you feel good. all the fun explodes and you always feel more part of the world of the character you play.

What cosplays are you currently working on or plan to finish this year?

Moana From Disney and Starfire From Teen Titan.

What issues do you see being the most divisive in the cosplay community and how do you feel about it?

Cosplay should unite not divide. Who is using it as an excuse to argue or to create factions, should find another hobby

What types of characters or genres inspire your cosplay the most?

I like the cute and sweet type. I cosplayed most of Disney’s princess. But I don’t dislike the sexy type too, but I don’t know if this type fit my appearance

What is your favorite part (researching, shopping for supplies, sewing, photo shoots, attending cons, etc.) of your cosplay process?

Sewing and photo shoots. Researching image for detail and search the right fabric and the right color is very stressful!

What are your best resources for cosplay materials?

I have a trusted provider of fabrics!

What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome as a cosplayer?

I did not find great obstacles. I wanted to do and I did it!

Have you learned any life lessons during your time as a cosplayer and what are they?

Of course! you can dream at any age and that you find great friends also simply embracing a stranger!

What is your golden cosplay rule that you would share with new cosplayers?

You have to enjoy yourself if you want to attract attention. because people feel who’s having fun and is attracted to him. even if you do not wear the most eye-catching of all cosplay.

How do you feel the cosplay community has changed over time?

More and more people do cosplay, not for a passion for a character but only because “everybody does it.” It’s becoming a fad, but fads you know, always change

If money and time were not a factor, what is your number one over ambitious cosplay you want to do?

Ehhhh …. I donìt know. I want to do a Mechanic armor.

Do you set a budget for each cosplay?

No. But I try to always keep the budget as low as possible

What does cosplay mean to you?

Means freedom, escape from routine, interpretation, being together with people similar to you and fun

Is there anything that would make you stop cosplaying?

Nah, I don’t think. 🙂
