Wonder Woman’s Movie Costume Lands in Injustice 2
NetherRealm Studios’ fighting game Injustice 2 is promoting the release of Wonder Woman across its console and mobile versions.
Wonder Woman’s Movie Gear
Injustice 2 is a bona fide hit. The brawler, developed by NetherRealm Studios, pits DC’s mythic heroes against each other across the multiverse. The game boasts an impressive roster and promises more with DLC. Also, including stepping into the shoes of your favorite DC characters, Injustice 2 introduced a gear system. As players fight their way through the game’s different modes, they are awarded mother boxes. Inside the mother boxes is gear for their characters. The gear provides boosts to characters stats and allows players to customize their favorite heroes and villains to their play style. So, with Wonder Woman hitting theaters this week, Injustice 2 seized the opportunity.
That’s right, from now until June 5th, players can unlock Wonder Woman’s movie costume. In the game’s multiverse mode, the event To End All Wars drops mother boxes featuring the gear featured on the silver screen. Additionally, folks playing the mobile version of Injustice 2 can unlock their own set of Wonder Woman goodies. The mobile game features two new cards inspired by the film, as well as the full gear set. Check out the trailer for the event below!
The video shows off Princess Diana kicking all kinds of tail across the DC Universe. Yes, the attempt to blend the live action and video game footage is a little forced. But, the video works to hype up both Wonder Woman at the movies and her in-game moveset. Diana’s special move incapacitating Batman is particularly great. Also, now that the DCEU is in full swing, the chance for future tie-ins is astronomical. Expect a plethora of content in conjunction with the release of Justice League this fall. Until then, keep honing your skills to protect (or destroy) the multiverse! New to the game? Check out Stark’s Top 5 Picks For Injustice 2.
