Wonder Woman Clothing Line Released
A clothing line inspired by the DC superheroine Wonder Woman has been released by three retailers: Her Universe, Torrid, and Hot Topic, TheMarySue reports.
More about the Wonder Woman Clothing Line:
The Wonder Woman clothing line is made by Her Universe (which has a reputation for making fashion for fangirls), and it is also being sold by Hot Topic (the brick and mortar store where every dramatic/fandom obsessed teen goes to buy clothing) and Torrid (which is a plus size retailer that is part of the Hot Topic organization, but has generally avoided Hot Topic’s negative connotations). The items in the collection range from clearly Wonder Woman inspired costume dresses to the more subtle ombre skirt (that has a photoreactive Wonder Woman logo that appears when the wearer steps into the sun) and the moto jacket (that has no logo, just Diana’s colors). There’s something for every level of cosplay: even if someone is not comfortable wearing clothing that is overtly fandom related to work, they may still be able to find something they like from these options. This clothing line indicates that DC has really stepped up the advertising for Wonder Woman, despite the fans’ worry that they were underselling the June 2nd film.
In case you weren’t aware, Torrid has also been selling a DC Formal dress based off of Wonder Woman’s comic design, if you want to wear a garment based off of a comic book character for your next hyper-formal event (do you have any weddings in your near future?).
Word of the Nerd will continue to report any and all news regarding Wonder Woman in anticipation of her upcoming feature film. Watch this space!
Do you like to wear everyday cosplay? Are you going to buy one or more of these Wonder Woman inspired garments? Tell us in the comments which piece is your favorite!
