Good Omens Welcomes New Forces To Cast

Good Omens - David Tennant and Michael Sheen

Good Omens Gets Good Vibrations From Additional Cast

Good Omens coverGood Omens, based off the Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman novel, has begun readthroughs. The Amazon/BBC co-production has netted a bevy of talent to bring the novel to life. These include Jack Whitehall (“Fresh Meat”), Miranda Richardson (Sleepy Hollow), and Michael McKean (Best In Show). Richardson will be portraying Madame Tracy, a psychic assistant erstwhile angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley as they attempt to prevent the end of the world. Whitehall will play Pulsifer, a lowly clerk who has just become a witch hunter. McKean plays Sgt. Shadwell, the witch hunter leader, and Pulsifer’s superior.

They join Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon) and David Tennant (Doctor Who), who play Aziraphale and Crowley respectively. The production will be directed by Douglas Mackinnon, who directed the Sherlock Christmas special a couple years ago. In an interview with Variety, Whitehall said: “I feel extraordinarily privileged to have been asked to play this part and cannot wait to get started.” McKean added “I’m thrilled to join this amazing cast and creative team. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather enjoy Armageddon with than Gaiman, Pratchett, Mackinnon, and company.”

Good Omens At The End Of The World

Good Omens is about the Apocalypse. It’s coming soon, very soon. We know this because of a book of prophecies written by a witch which has always been accurate. The angelic hosts and demonic hordes prepare to do battle. The Four Horsemen prepare to ride. But not everyone is ready for the end of the world to happen. These are the high-strung angel Aziraphale and the slick demon Crowley. Now, these enemies turned uneasy allies are doing everything in their power to stop the end of the world from coming.

Neil Gaiman is adapting the novel he co-wrote with the late Terry Pratchett for the series. He will also be the showrunner. Good Omens is prepared to be unleashed in 2019. It will premiere worldwide on Amazon, with the UK having it broadcast on BBC2.
