After being subjected to a dismal first half of the NFL Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears on ESPN tonight, the one payoff, after Sam Bradford’s benching was an exclusive look at the new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. A column of First Order Stormtroopers marched out onto the field as the trailer began.
Filled to the very last second with all new, never before seen footage, this trailer has driven Star Wars fans into a new frenzy as the December 15th release date draws closer. It appears as if this latest installment of the Star Wars franchise is going to be centered around Rey and Kylo Ren (aka Ben Solo). There was muffled but obvious sadness among viewers when Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa was shown.
Along with exciting new footage of the First Order’s new AT-M6, Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer and an unsettling view of a scared Luke Skywalker, this trailer has nearly everything fans have been waiting for. And there’s no coincidence that tickets for The Last Jedi went on sale today. Add to that an awesome new poster…the internet will have Star Wars fever for the next few days at least.
There’s a little bit of nerd in everyone!
