From American Mythology —
American Mythology is pleased to announce that thanks to their incredible fans, supporters, and backers alike, their current Eternal Thirst of Dracula Kickstarter surpassed its initial goal and successfully reached funding in less than 48-hours! With 18-days remaining in the campaign, the publisher has now unlocked new stretch goals and rewards, which include new trading cards, 8.5” x 5.5” Oracle cards, and a super-exclusive nude cover edition drawn by Mike Wolfer that will become available as an add-on item, and available to backers of all levels with mailed rewards.
The Eternal Thirst of Dracula begins with a two-part tale, written by Mike Wolfer (Friday the 13th, Night of the Living Dead), illustrated by Roy Allan Martinez (Wonder Woman, Son of M, Heroes: Godsend), colored by Enrica Eren Angiolini (Warhammer 40,000: Revelations, and Will of Iron), and lettered by Natalie Jane (The Land that Time Forgot, Daughters of the Dark Oracle), with issue #1 in stores on December 20, 2017, and issue #2 expected to hit shelves in February 2018. The three-week Eternal Thirst of Dracula Kickstarter campaign is designed to create an extra-special, Kickstarter-exclusive edition of American Mythology’s Eternal Thirst of Dracula, combining issues #1 and #2 into a single, 48-page volume that won’t be found in stores!
While Dracula may be eternal, this Kickstarter is not! The Eternal Thirst of Dracula Kickstarter campaign remains active now until December 18th, and can be found by visiting:
The Eternal Thirst of Dracula is unlike any vampire tale you’ve seen before. A direct sequel to the original Bram Stoker novel, this fright-fest brings the King of the Undead into our world, the real world, where “Dracula” is considered nothing more than a fictional character. It’s 1975, and Exemplar Pictures International is in the Philippines shooting their latest, low-budget, horror film, Curse of the Vines of Death, written, directed, and starring drive-in staple Van Hauser. After receiving an investment offer from a mysterious financier, Hauser is flown to a remote island for a one-on-one meeting with the wealthy investor. But upon his arrival, Hauser finds a huge wall encircling the island’s perimeter and terrors beyond imagining behind it, for this is the hidden sanctuary of the very-real Count Dracula!
“When I say that you’ve never seen a ‘Dracula’ story like this one, I really mean it,” says Mike Wolfer, Eternal Thirst of Dracula writer. “I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but this is a multi-layered story that blurs the line between fact and fiction, and will draw the reader into the story in a unique way. We’ve all seen the ‘Dracula’ movies, we’ve read the novel, we’re all well-versed in vampire lore. That’s the approach I’m taking with the characters in the story. They’re just like us, and they quickly come to the realization that what they’ve seen and read isn’t fantasy at all.”
Production on these new Kickstarter offerings are currently under way, with an expected shipping date of April 2018.
