Amazon Partners with ComiXology to Publish Creator-Owned Comics

Amazon ComiXology Unlimited creator-owned comics

Amazon Releases Creator-Owned Comics with Publisher ComiXology

Online retail giant, Amazon, has recently announced that it is delving into a new area of entertainment: creator-owned comics. Helping them jump into the comic book game is the comic book publisher, ComiXology. Members of Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and now ComiXology Unlimited have access to four new original titles. With Amazon constantly expanding their market, will they stand a chance in this niche market?

ComiXology has big plans to release more creator-owned pieces, which has been teased to be released at Comic-Con International in San Diego from July 19-22. Amazon’s announcement of pairing with the comic company comes shortly after Netflix declared that it, too, will be experimenting with the comic book game after purchasing Mark Millar’s publishing group, Millarworld. While we wait until July’s Comic-Con reveal, let us take a look at the four titles in ComiXology’s creator-owned line.
