Daryl May be in Trouble in Season 7 of The Walking Dead

Fans have been waiting with baited breath to see who gets killed in the season 7 opener of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The season 6 finale last April pulled in a massive 19.36 million viewers for the Goliath Sci-fi show and fans were left with the most gargantuan of cliff-hangers…Who was going to meet their end by way of Negan’s barbed-wire bat, “Lucille?”   In the comics, (spoiler alert!) we know that the answer was Glenn in one of the most gut wrenching scenes in all of the comic’s history, but will the TV series go that route?

New Video Content Posted with Possible Clues…

In a newly released teaser for season 7 we are given concerns that fan-favorite Daryl (Norman Reedus), might be that unlucky soul. In the promo video we see Austin Amelio-portrayed Dwight riding Daryl’s motorcycle and wearing his signature angel winged vest. Dwight is a much hated member of Negan’s gang and can be seen at the end of the season 6 finale as Negan chooses which one of the survivors to introduce to Lucille.

What Does Daryl Himself Have to Say?

Reedus, who is no stranger to social media, reposted several stories about the teaser, all the while making no comment as to his beloved character’s fate, instead, posting a large assortment of fan art.

Who all is on the Chopping Block…Or in the Batting Cage?

Other than Daryl, our heroes in jeopardy include: Rick Grimes and his son Carl, Rosita, Abraham, Eugene, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie and their unborn child. One has to wonder what will happen to Reedus’ rabid fan base and The Walking Dead’s viewership should they decide to Axe (or in this case BAT) Daryl Dixon from the show. The creators have always minced no words when it comes to the characters on this show.

NO ONE is Ever Safe on This Show…

In a recent Reddit AMA about the show and it’s future, Creator Robert Kirkman had this to say:

“The premiere episode of season 7 is going to be hard on everyone… Rick especially. I don’t play favorites. They all die eventually. …Carl.”
