Richard Madden, Holiday Grainger and Anneika Rose’s Electric Dreams
The King in the North and Lucrezia Borgia will be reunited once more. The original Stark king, Richard Madden, and Borgia princess Holliday Grainger will return to our screens, our amazon screens that is. Deadline has reported that Richard Madden, Holliday Grainger and Anneika Rose have been cast in an episode of Amazon’s upcoming anthology series based on Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams.
A King, a Borgia and a Cop
Madden is of course known mostly for his role as Robb Stark in the first three seasons of the beloved HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones just as Grainger is known for her prominent role in Showtime’s The Borgias but this isn’t the first time they’ve been in the same project. Both of them also appeared in 2015’s Disney’s Cinderella remake with Madden appearing as Prince Kit, aka Cinderella’s prince and Grainger as the stepsister Anastasia. Rose is mostly known for her role in BBC’s Line of Duty. All three of them will star in the episode titled “The Hood Maker.”
In “The Hood Maker” Madden will star as Agent Ross, Grainger as Honor and Rose as Mary. Here’s what we know of the episode so far “It is set in a world without advanced technology and where mutant telepaths have become humanity’s only mechanism for long-distance communication. But their powers have unintended implications, and when the public begins to embrace mysterious, telepath-blocking hoods, two detectives with an entangled past are brought in to investigate.” The episode was written by Matthew Graham and will be directed by Julian Jerrold.
Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams is a new series from Amazon along the lines of Netflix’s Black Mirror where every episode tells a different story. They will all be based on Dick’s short stories. The executive producers include Outlander’s Ronald D. Moore, Michael Dinner, Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Sony Pictures TV.
