Fox has released a new promo for the upcoming eleventh season of the beloved science fiction show, The X-Files, which stars Gillian Anderson as FBI Agent Dana Scully and David Duchovny as FBI Agent Fox Mulder. Check out the new twenty-second promo below!
More About The X-Files
Most of the footage found in this twenty-second promo is also found in this two-minute trailer, which was released at the beginning of October. However, the release of this promo may mean that Fox (the company, not the character) is getting ready to announce when the first episode of the upcoming eleventh season of The X-Files will begin airing.
The X-Files first aired in 1993 and originally finished its run in the year 2002. The show was revived last year, bringing its stars back for a six-episode tenth season. Gillian Anderson (Agent Dana Scully) and David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder) have both returned for the second of the revival seasons of the show. Other characters in the upcoming season’s main cast are FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), the Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis), Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish), and Erika Price (Barbara Hershey). It looks like Karin Konaval will be playing an as-yet-unannounced character in this upcoming season. Karin Konaval previously appeared in The X-Files episode “Home” as a character named Mrs. Peacock.
Fox has not yet announced the start date for the eleventh season of The X-Files. It is clear that the season will start airing at some point in 2018. This season will run for ten episodes—four more than last year’s season ran!
