Maggie’s Future At The Hilltop
SPOILER ALERT: Do not keep reading if you have not seen “Wrath”, the Season 8 finale of “The Walking Dead”.
During the finale episode of season 8, Maggie was furious with Rick for sparing Negan’s life. While the All Out War is finally over, it appeared that there may be a civil war brewing. In a secret meeting with Jesus, Maggie says that “Rick was wrong to do what they did. Michonne too.” She decides they will build up the strength and defenses of the Hilltop and wait for their moment to show him how wrong he is. Daryl steps out of the shadows and agrees with her.
How the future of the series would have continued in the absence of Cohan we will never know. But, alas, we don’t need to worry about that anymore. The story will continue later Fall 2018.
