Actors have started getting their scripts for Season 7 and we’re hearing the same thing from a lot of them: we’re in for a very rough ride.
The first actor we can see actually reacting to the script, thanks to her twitter, is the ever lovable Masie Williams. We think it’s safe to say that Arya Stark is one of the fan favorite characters, so we hope things go well for her.
Rather than give you the blow by blow, we’re just going to give you this:
Well, so much for hope. We can’t even say we have much anymore, considering what Benioff & Weiss, and of course Martin himself, have put us through, but it’s good to have dreams right? Yeah right, guess we should stock up on tissues before next summer.
Before any scripts were even released, Kit Harrington shared his thoughts in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on what he expected for the future of the show. His predictions, after reading Masie’s very enthusiastic tweets, seem to be pretty spot on:
“I think it’s going to get very bleak before if there is a happy ending. If there’s any sort of win or heroic moment for Jon and everyone else. I think it’s going to get very dark before it gets better. I think what we might see this season is those White Walkers and that Army of the Dead really come into force. So that’s going to be exciting to see. I don’t know what it means. I think with the whole “winter is finally here” business, it means everyone is going to have a really bad time.”
In contrast to the others, Sophie Turner has simply retweeted, along with Masie’s “Holy balls” tweet, this very encouraging image from season 6:
We feel confident in saying that season 7 is going to take us for a hell of a ride, toying with our emotions and stamping out hope wherever it can as winter claims Westeros. We can only weather the storm and enjoy the heartache. We’re all still very much looking forward to it. And as the season approaches, we can’t help but agree with this guy:
Jason Momoa, who played beloved and lost Khal Drogo, was seen in Northern Ireland with cast and crew. Some are speculating that this may have a deeper meaning, but we think he’s probably just enjoying the scene with his Game of Thrones family.
