If you can’t get enough of Cartoon Network ‘s Adventure Time in your life then you are in luck. Kaboom, via Boom Studios is releasing a new stand-alone Adventure Time comic book just in time for Halloween. This comic is in addition to Adventure Time’s usual monthly appearances on the shelves of your local comic book store.
Adventure Time: 2013 Spooktacular #1 is due to hit store shelves on October 30th and will be full of short stories that will be sure to get you into the holiday spirit if you were not already. The trippy post-apocalyptic world that is Ooo is the perfect backdrop for fun and spooky stories and this book promises to deliver just that.
The Spooktacular book has brought together a large number of talented individuals including Jen Bennett, Kevin Church, Jay Hosler, and Becky Dreistadt. Having so many talented people involved in this project should bring different tones and vibes to each of the short stories. Some of the short stories announced so far include a new adventure for Cake and Fiona, as well as Marceline’s foray into being a good girl, which should be scary indeed. There is also a bonus story for which the content matter has yet to be released to the public.
The larger than average comic will be sold at the larger than average price of $4.99. Adventure Time: 2013 Spooktacular #1 will have a cover drawn by Becky Dreistadt with incentive variants drawn by Jones Wiedle and Ming Doyle. All covers promise to convey the mix of scary and fun that the stories in the comic promise to deliver while expressing each of the artist’s individual styles.
