Andy Serkis will be portraying Supreme Leader Snoke in “Star Wars: the Force Awakens” this December.
In an interview with StarWars.com, famed photographer Annie Leibovitz released a previously unpublished photo from a recent shoot depicting Serkis in motion capture gear.
As we all know, Serkis is no stranger to motion capture work, having appeared as Gollum in the several Lord of the Rings films, Caesar in the recent Planet of the Apes movies, and as King Kong in Peter Jackson’s 2005 remake.
As of now, little information exists about Supreme Leader Snoke. He has not appeared in any footage, and we only heard his voice in the teaser trailer that was released last November.
Star Wars: the Force Awakens is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18th.
