It seems like every month we’re gushing about the new book releases, and July is no exception! There are dozens of good-looking fantasy and science fiction novels coming out in the very near future. So I would get pre-ordering if I were you (I know I did).

Pan’s Labyrinth: The Labyrinth of the Faun by Guillermo del Toro & Cornelia Funke – July 2nd

Pan’s Labyrinth: The Labyrinth of the Faun is the long-awaited book adaptation of the classic movie. Guillermo del Toro and Cornelia Funke worked on the project together, so you know it’s going to stay true to the core of the movie! Better yet, they’re going to add more details to the novel version, so there’s one more reason to check it out!

Wanderers by Chuck Wendig – July 2nd

Wanderers by Chuck Wendig is a different sort of novel. It’s a dark thriller, with a dystopian feel. It follows several characters through their travels as the world around them slowly (or not so slowly) changes around them.

Dragonslayer by Duncan M. Hamilton – July 2nd

Dragonslayer is the latest epic fantasy by Duncan M. Hamilton. And yes, the novel does live up to the promise the title makes. This novel is the first in a series of the same name, and it’s sure to be full of epic quests.

The Storm Crow by Kayln Josephson – July 9th

The Storm Crow by Kayln Josephson is the first novel in a series of the same name. If the cover isn’t enough to catch your attention, here’s more. It’s set in a tropical and magical world, where crows are life. Or rather, they’re part of every aspect of life. That is, before everything changed.

Wilder Girls by Rory Power – July 9th

Wilder Girls by Rory Power is a novel worth checking out. The novel follows a school of girls, called the Raxter School for Girls, and their quest for surviving the quarantine that’s been placed on them. This novel is dark and graphic and sure to be memorable.

This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone – July 16th

This is How You Lose the Time War is a collaboration from Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. It follows two rival agents and their conversations. All done in an attempt to save the world they know from something worse.

The Philosopher’s War (The Philosophers Series #2) by Tom Miller – July 16th

Anticipated Book Releases - July 2019The Philosopher’s War is the dramatic sequel to the Philosopher’s Flight by Tom Miller. This series is historical fantasy at it’s finest. Set during World War I, but with many elements changed – such as the appearance of magic in a different form. Here Robert will have to struggle to survive the war – and help save others along the way. It is his job, after all.

Treason (Star Wars: Thrawn #3) by Timothy Zahn – July 23rd

Anticipated Book Releases - July 2019Treason is the long-awaited third novel following Thrawn. It’s written by Timothy Zahn, and if it is anything like the first two novels, it’s going to be a hit. It’s described as being the ultimate loyalty test for Thrawn, which will prove interesting.

Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy by J.K. Rowling & Pottermore Publishing – July 25th

Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy is the third ebook to come out from Pottermore Publishing this summer. So if you’ve missed the first two, go check them out! This ebook was inspired by real-life beliefs and events that influenced J.K. Rowling’s writing. Specifically, it focuses on Divination and Astronomy.

The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen – July 30th

Anticipated Book Releases - July 2019The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen follows three characters in a magical world. Fie is Crow Caste, undertakers commonly overlooked and abused. Jasimir is the Crown Prince, but now he’s gone and faked his own death and is on the run. And Hawk, the bodyguard to the Crown Prince. Loyal to a fault, but in desperate need to find something to call his own.

Dark Age (Red Rising Saga #5) by Pierce Brown – July 30th

Anticipated Book Releases - July 2019Dark Age is the fifth novel in the Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown. If you haven’t been following the series up to this point, you should go back and check the earlier novels out! This one continues the epic quests started in this brilliant world.
