Could Felicity Smoak Come Back to Arrow?
The CW’s Arrow is upon its eighth and final season. Actress Emily Bett Rickards has decided not to reprise her role as character Emily Smoak in the final season. Her character got her finale in the 7th season. That does not mean that the CW would not make room for the character to come back for one final appearance. That is if Rickards would want to?
The Big Finale
Arrow’s eight and final season is set for a short ten episodes. That does not leave a lot of room to work with as the show will have to wrap up everything that has been happening for 8 seasons. Deadline notes from the CW’s Upfront Press Call CW President Mark Pedowitz would be excited to have Rickards back.
“Emily was terrific in the show and we believe that Beth Schwartz did a great job wrapping up the storyline last year. If Beth can find a way to bring her back that makes sense and Emily is available, we’d love to have her. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the way they said goodbye to the character,”.
Arrow started in all for the CW. It was the first superhero show on the network and a little bit of a leap for them. It is crazy to think back and see how this show launched basically the whole CW DC Universe. Now with multiple shows under their belts, huge crossover events and a multitude of fans the one show that started it all is ready to say goodbye.
Arrow season 8 will premiere this Fall. It will be aired on Tuesday nights alongside another CW hit superhero show The Flash. Both of these shows have crossed over many times throughout the years so it will be interesting if Barry Allen and the gang get to say their goodbyes to Oliver Queen and the crew.
What do you hope to see in the final season of Arrow? Do you think the characters will pop up in any of the other CW DC shows? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
