Attack on Spider-Man

I have good news for all of you out there that have been wondering what you’re going to do now that Naruto is over!

Some of you may be aware of the super popular manga and anime, Attack on Titan, that has swept fandoms by storm.  I, as a con goer, have noticed a steady decline of Akatsuki robes in favor of Survey Corps capes.  Don’t know what that means?

The point is, the anime of my youth seems to have been dethroned.  Where there once was Naruto, there is now Eren Jaeger.

And now, apparently, where there once was Spider-Man, there will now also be Eren Jaeger.

I’m really not a fan of Eren Jaeger.  I’m all about the Jean Kirstein.

Anyway.   Yesterday, it was announced by several major websites, including, that The Marvel universe and the world of Attack on Titan will be colliding in a crossover event so splendid that it will scar us for generations.

That last part, while not explicitly stated, was heavily implied.

This photo was tweeted by VP of Marvel Comics, with the caption “Not a joke, folks. Attack on Titan and the @Marvel universe are crossing over! In 2 weeks. In Japan. Want a teaser?”

The answer is no.  I want to go back to when people wore orange jumpsuits and said “nya” for no apparent reason.  “Nya” was a cat noise. Why is it a cat noise?  What kind of cat makes that noise?  I don’t know.  Anime used to be simpler.  I never asked for this.

It has been explained to me that “nya” is the Japanese word for “meow.”  This makes it worse.  You know who you are.

Anyway, I will be keeping an eye on this crossover as it unfolds.  It is still unclear if Spider-Man will be teaming up with the Survey Corps, or if the Titans have just appeared in Spider-Man’s timeline, or if my Jean/Peter fan fiction is, in fact, too strange for the internet.

This is probably going to get weird.
