On Your Left
If at first you don’t succeed, try again! Avengers: Endgame is due to have a second theatre release upcoming soon. The news comes on the heels of an impressive box-office haul. While not quite on the level of Avatar, Endgame has smashed the record for the fastest movie to reach one billion dollars globally. This release comes with the idea of making more in an attempt to topple the behemoth of Avatar.
Avatar stands at the top of the all-time ranking with a blistering $2.78 billion dollars worldwide.
Still More to See
On this occasion, unreleased footage that was left on the cutting room floor for the theatrical release will be shown. The scenes said to be added have not been spoken of, but it is believed that they will flesh out certain relationships that may not have seen as much screen time as they deserved. The freshly cut Endgame will be arriving in theatres as soon as next weekend.
This exciting news for superhero fans comes from Comicbook.com as they grabbed the scoop with Kevin Feige. While attending a press junket for Spider-Man: Far From Home in London, Brandon Davis of Comicbook.com got a quote from Kevin Feige stating:
“We are doing that.”
In relation to the query if a re-release was inbound, Feige remarked that he hadn’t heard an announcement. He then offered a quick comment saying:
“Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”
Whether Endgame returns to cinemas has not been officially stated by Disney or Marvel directly. Logically, they would have their eye on that top box-office spot that they are within reach of. The direction of bringing whole new scenes to the fore is sure to get fans clamouring once again to jump back into the world.
From the perspective of Marvel fans, we see this as an absolute win!
