Multi-Verse Of Endings
Joe Russo recently sat down with Comicbook.com. A major topic of discussion was possible different endings for Avengers: Endgame. Some were written just to throw people off, some were actually considered. Joe does note that the finale was pretty well in had years before the movie came into being. “We decided on the ending of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers three years ago, before we started work on the scripts, so that we knew where we were going.”.
Obviously, Joe notes a lot of endings were talked about and written in scripts to naturally throw people off the true ending. In the age of social media, you can never be too careful. Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War for that matter made the Russo’s masters of deceiving people. You can’t even trust the trailers any more!
What these alternative endings could have been is anyone’s guess? Did they film any? Will they be featured as extras when Avengers: Endgame is available on the home release? It will be interesting to see if any of these other endings ever see the light of day.
With the introduction of a possible Multiverse in the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. Well, that is if Mysterio isn’t lying (you know as his character does in the comics). I wonder if the Russo’s ever thought about teasing the Multiverse or alternate timelines with any endings? Well, I guess they kind of did with Captain America.
All we can do is speculate for now. What do you think some of these endings could have been? What did you think about the actual ending to Avengers: Endgame? WOuld you change anything or keep it all the same? Let us know in the comments.
