The Final Novel in the Red Queen Series Finally Has a Cover
The series that has captivated fans for years is sadly coming to an end in the near future with Broken Throne. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be excited about the latest cover reveal, right?
Victoria Aveyard’s series has been a fan favorite for years, and with good reason. In total, the series will boast four full novels as well as four novellas. Though, technically Broken Throne will be a companion as well as a compilation, but more on that in a bit.
The Red Queen is set in a world where there are two types of people. There are the Reds, and the Silvers. The Reds are the red-blooded population. Typically looked down upon, stepped on, and considered to be worthless and magicless. The Silvers are the polar opposite, at least in theory. They have silver blood running through their veins, and are gifted with abilities, as well as the right to fine living.
That’s the world that Mare was born into, but it’s not a world she’s content to live in. The series is all about the struggle for change and doing what is right. It’s really no wonder that the series is as popular as it is.
The full reading order for the series is thus: Queen Song (#0.1), Steel Scars (#0.2), Cruel Crown (#0.1-0.2) Red Queen (#1), Glass Sword (#2), King’s Cage (#3), War Storm (#4), and Broken Throne (#4.5).
Broken Throne is to be the last in the Red Queen series, but it’s really more of a compilation than anything else. It contains five novellas in total, three are new, and two have been previously published (Steel Scars and Queen Song).
It’ll be bittersweet, to be sure. And of course, the cover is everything we’ve come to expect from this series. It has a beautiful dark purple backdrop, with the iconic crown in a new form on the cover (you can probably guess how it looks before you even see it).
