BTS Suicide Squad Photo Hints At Deleted Scene

Despite the mixed reception of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad last year, the film still managed to be a contender in tonight’s 89th Oscar annual Academy Awards. Nominated for Best Makeup & Hairstyling, Suicide Squad features a number iconic DC characters like The Joker (Jared Leto), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and, of course, fan favorite Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie).

It should come as no surprise that in order to fully bring colorful characters like Harley Quinn to life obviously requires extensive makeup work. And even though Suicide Squad gave fans plenty of time to admire all of the beautiful designs, we’ve been given yet another great look.

A New Look for Harley Quinn

Courtesy of, a new photo featuring Harley Quinn in an unused Suicide Squad costume has been released. The photo shows the Joker’s wild girlfriend sporting a wedding dress — and it looks just as wacky as you would expect. On top of the traditional white, the costume also includes some red and blue, which were central colors of the character’s other outfits seen in the film. Take a look below.

The costume is gorgeously designed, but seeing it so long after the fact makes its exclusion from the final film all the more saddening. However, this reveal does bring up the possibility of the dress making an appearance in upcoming Harley Quinn appearances. Considering that Robbie and Ayer are teaming up again soon for Gotham City Sirens, there’s still a decent chance the costume will still see the light of day.

After Suicide Squad, it will be interesting to see just how the DC Extended Universe decides to move forward. Putting its mixed critical reception aside, the DCEU’s current three installments — Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad — garnered success financially and with audiences. Not only that, each installment introduced many new elements that could help the DCEU become a refreshing polar opposite to Marvel.

And in some ways, Suicide Squad is the most promising step so far for DC. There’s no doubt that Robbie’s fantastic portrayal of Harley Quinn was a major part of the film’s success, so hopefully, the duo will continue to be a central part of future installments.

We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
