Cosplay of the Week

The week’s cosplayer hails from San Antonio Texas and even though she is relatively new to cosplay, her character selection as well as her costumes are really quite impressive.

Name: Lyndsey Elaine

Location: San Antonio
Cosplaying Since: Early 2013
First Character: Arrkham City Harley Quinn
Current Project: Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow

How did you first get into cosplay?  I attended my first con earlier this year and just had to dress up!

How much time do you spend making your costumes?  I’m really bad at waiting until the last second and then zipping through it, usually a day or two.

What’s your favorite cosplay you’ve done so far?  I think it would be my Steampunk Harley Quinn because it was my own design, I worked hard on it and when everyone loved it, it made me feel really good.

Do you usually get positive reactions from fans?  Yes, people have been so awesome! I think people’s favorite was Steampunk Harley as well, seemed to get the most reaction.

What’s the next costume or event you’re preparing for?  I’m currently working on Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow for Alamo City Comic Con in October, since I have to make armour for Freeze I’m not going to be able to work on it last minute like I usually do. These two cosplays are going to be totally new to me but I wanted a challenge. I plan to crank out as many Batman cosplays as I can, as it’s my favorite!

What characters inspire you the most?  Harley Quinn! She’s my favorite and I feel that I relate to her the most. I get the most ideas with her.
