Hello, I’m Liz. I’m a 25-year-old, mother of one beautiful little girl, based in London. Currently, a student at the University of the arts. I love all art forms and my to go to is cosplay and painting or drawing. It is my way of escaping the world around me. Love Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, etc… The best film in the world is LOTR. No contest there. Definitely feel I’m part hobbit. All I do is eat.
How did you first get into cosplay?
Always enjoyed fancy dress and love for comics and films
Do you cosplay just for fun or do you see it as a stepping stone to a future career?
Just for fun
Do you prefer to make your cosplays from scratch, buy or commission them or a hybrid?
I make them from scratch or I buy them or a mix of both.
How much time do you spend making each of your cosplays?
It depends on the complexity
What is your favorite cosplay you have done so far?
Possibly one of my Harley Quinns
What has been your most memorable experience (good or bad) as a cosplayer?
Being told mine was the most realistic cosplay of Suicide Squad Harley at a con
How do you feel about group cosplays?
What cosplays are you currently working on or plan to finish this year?
Hoping to hand make a Daenerys costume and also Margaery’s wedding dress and Sansa Stark’s coronation gown.
What issues do you see as being the most divisive in the cosplay community and how do you feel about it?
I feel people fat shame quite a bit and moan if someone isn’t 100% accurate due to hair colour or race but I feel its a form of expression and if you feel you’re personality is like said character, you have a right to cosplay whomever you wish to no matter your size, colour, disability, etc….
What types of characters or genres inspire your cosplay the most?
DC, Marvel, games, and TV shows
What is your favorite part (researching, shopping for supplies, sewing, photoshoots, attending cons, etc.) of your cosplay process?
Researching and attending cons
What are your best resources for cosplay materials?
Any fabric shop and Amazon
What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome as a cosplayer?
Fear of feeling that people would laugh at my body for not being magazine perfect
Have you learned any life lessons during your time as a cosplayer and what are they?
Screw what people think, do what you love
What is your golden cosplay rule that you would share with new cosplayers?
Just be you and don’t let anyone take that away from you. No matter your budget, don’t let anyone take away how you feel
How do you feel the cosplay community has changed over time?
It’s more excepting of a variety of different people cosplaying different things and its so much more open to a variety of different people from all backgrounds.

Is there another cosplayer who inspires you or is your role model?
Do you consider yourself an inspiration to other cosplayers?
No, I don’t, but I am inspired by others
What advice would you give someone about meeting cosplayers and taking their pictures? How do you like to be approached?
The advice I’d give is to just come up and ask. Like “Hey, I love your cosplay, do you mind if I can take some pictures… ” and thank them for their time.
What is one thing you wish your fans knew about you?
Absolutely Rugby obsessed. I play rugby and played in all sorts of positions. My favourite position is right in front of the scrum as the Hooker.
