About Paige Hoffman
My name is Paige Elithe Hoffman. My middle name is Hawaiian. It is very unique and therefore everyone pronounces my middle name wrong. The H is silent. So how my name sounds is elite. It’s really a badass name. I just wish people knew. My line of work is I model full time. I just graduated from a trade school to get my esthetician license. So I would kinda have a degree in modeling. I do amazing makeup work also. I live in a small town on the East Coast of Florida called Melbourne. We see rocket launches here all time. They are fun. I recommend seeing one if you already haven’t.
How did you first get into cosplay?
When I was 21. I loved dressing up and playing as a character role. But was kinda frowned upon then not like today. Everyone super accepting of it now. which is amazing.
Do you cosplay just for fun or do you see it as a stepping stone to a future career?
I cosplay just for fun at the moment but If it turns into something more than be awesome.
Do you prefer to make your cosplays from scratch, buy or commission them or a hybrid?
Both I love making my own cosplay when I can. Sometimes I do travel too cause my career and I have buy outfits cause that. I do prefer to make them cause gets in tune with that character.
How much time do you spend making each of your cosplays?
Depends on the outfit sometimes it can take up to days to weeks.
What is your favorite cosplay you have done so far?
Rey! Honesty I love Star Wars and to apart of it some way is an amazing feeling.
What has been your most memorable experience (good or bad) as a cosplayer?
Going to MegaCon with some of my best friends and getting into cosplay and the community and seeing them smile and having fun.
How do you feel about group cosplays?
I love it. Everyone gets so pumped is a great experience to be around. I recommend it. If you haven’t tired and you’re new into cosplay.
What cosplays are you currently working on or plan to finish this year?

What issues do you see as being the most divisive in the cosplay community and how do you feel about it?
Sometimes I don’t appreciate the lack of ignorance in the cosplay community. I have come across some cosplayers that won’t even talk to you or bat eye cause below them. I don’t appreciate that kind of feeling when you look up to someone or are inspired in this community partly cause them. That for some cosplay could make or break someone’s spirit.
What types of characters or genres inspire your cosplay the most?
Video Game characters mostly its what I related to most.
What is your favorite part (researching, shopping for supplies, sewing, photoshoots, attending cons, etc.) of your cosplay process?
Attending cons and photoshoots. I just love to be able to jump into character and sharing my excitement with the world.
What are your best resources for cosplay materials?
Both. I go shopping around to thrift stores to Amazon.
What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome as a cosplayer?
To keep pushing through no matter what and not give up.
Have you learned any life lessons during your time as a cosplayer and what are they?
Yes! To be more kind heartened and open to cosplayers. They see you as role model that huge deal to me. I don’t want to let anyone down.
What is your golden cosplay rule that you would share with new cosplayers?
How do you feel the cosplay community has changed over time?
It just keeps growing and growing. It’s amazing to see how much it continues to grow. it wasn’t always like that in beginning. I feel personally a lot of other cosplayers and I felt. Like outcast for being a freak. It cool to see people can accept. for doing the things that make you happy.
If money and time were not a factor, what is your number one over-ambitious cosplay you want to do?
Junkrat! from Overwatch.
Do you set a budget for each cosplay?
YES. I try not to spend to much but when comes to props and everything else prices stack up. I say good cosplay up 300 dollars that with everything included. meaning main outfit, props, shoes, makeup, and accessories.
What does cosplay mean to you?
Cosplay means to me. I would say the world at the most the chance to be one my favorite character for a day or two hours and feel like an unlimited badass.
What is your favorite con to attend?
Is there another cosplayer who inspires you or is your role model?
Holly Wolf, Joanie Brosas, Meggii Kohai, Nicole Jean, and Rolyat.
Do you consider yourself an inspiration to other cosplayers?
What advice would you give someone about meeting cosplayers and taking their pictures? How do you like to be approached?
I love it when other cosplayers come up to me and greet me accordingly. Most of them complain to me about my outfit. I feel like that great approach when asking to speak someone or if want to take pictures with me.
What is one thing you wish your fans knew about you?
That I appreciated each and everyone single person that believes in me and I believe you as well. You have many dreams to keep killing out there.
