From Deadpool to Avengers to Dune: Brolin is A-Rollin’
Josh Brolin; yes the man who has played such iconic roles such as, Cable in “Deadpool 2“, Thanos in “Avengers: Infinity War“ and a few other Marvel movies, and Brand in the “Goonies“; has joined the ever-growing cast of Legendary’s “Dune” reboot. I know what you’re thinking,”Shane who cares! It’s just Josh Brolin joining another Hollywood remake that won’t ever be as good as the first one!” Well, I beg to differ my friends! Let’s take a closer look at who’s behind the “Dune” reboot!
A Closer Look
First off; the director/producer of the “Dune“ reboot is none another than the director of “Blade Runner 2049“ and “Arrival“ (two of the best Sci-Fi films in the last two decades), Denis Villeneuve. Denis also wrote the screenplay along with Eric Roth, most notably known for Forest Gump, and Jon Spaihts, writer of “Doctor Strange”.
That alone should get you excited! I mean, did you watch “Blade Runner 2049“? Oh, you didn’t? Okay, I want you to stop reading now and go watch that real quick! What are you doing still reading? Go watch it! I’ll wait . . .
Finished it? Amazing right? Let’s continue on! To go with this All-Star director they are bringing in an All-Star cast. I mean they’ve got Timothee Chalamet, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, and let’s not forget Josh ‘The Man, The Myth, The Thanos’ Brolin!
I know most people are getting tired of remakes, reboots, sequels that aren’t really sequels, and everything in between, but for a moment really look at this. Legendary is putting together a team of artist who will give the respect this property deserves. If you’ve seen “Blade Runner 2049“ you know Denis Villeneuve will. I’m beyond excited for this film, the crew behind, the cast starring in it, and my boy Josh Brolin for becoming King of the Nerds for all these films he’s gracing with his amazing talent!
