First Look at the Seven Deadly Sins in SHAZAM!

The Promo Art for SHAZAM! Reveals the Seven Deadly Sins

The latest round of promo art for SHAZAM! came out this week, and it focused heavily on the Seven Deadly Sins.

These characters go by many names, but mostly the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man. The Seven Deadly Sins are demons capable of possessing humans and superheroes alike. The wizard Shazam had successfully locked them away at one point. Naturally, with beings such as these, that doesn’t last. They had been trapped in statues that were mocking caricatures of their personas. With any luck, we’ll get to see how the movie interprets those vessels.

The Seven Deadly Sins have been confirmed for appearing in the new SHAZAM! movie. This alone can tell us a lot about what they plan to do with the movie.

Promo Art

The promo art doesn’t actually show us what the Seven Deadly Sins are going to look like in the movie. It’s actually a stylized (but very well done) drawing of the characters. So we can only get so much from this as far as how they’ll be shown in the movie.

They are in their demon forms for the poster. Hopefully, this means that we’ll get to see their true forms at least once in the movie. It stands to reason that we’ll see them predominantly through the beings that they’re possessing. Their appearance will probably make more sense if their original form is shown at least once.

The promo art fits in with the toy designs that have already been released for some of the Seven Deadly Sins. It’s nice getting a confirmation on the style though, and honestly, it’s pretty awesome to see them all together too.

SHAZAM! will release in theaters on April 5th, so not too much longer to wait.
