Valkyrie-  Maid of Might Cosplay
By Dera

As a fan of Norse mythology, my eye always travels to comic characters such as Valkyrie. And when cosplayers can portray the armor and weaponry accurately, it brings a smile to my face. Maid of Might Cosplay’s portrayal of this strong comic character can be counted among the cosplays that get my attention and in a good way.

The first thing I notice when looking at Maid’s Valkyrie is the armor pieces. They shine and reflect light and the things around her which makes me wonder if she got her hands on real armor, which I love. The cat suit underneath fits her perfectly and is flattering because of it. And the prop-lover in me adores her spear. The shape of it is wonderfully executed and it has the same realistic look as her plating. Overall, Maid of Might pulls off a great Valkyrie and I hope to see it in person one day so I can ask her how she did the armor. (Seriously geeking out over here).

Valkyrie – Kaloheart 7

This representation of Valkyrie by kaloheart7 is amazing. Outside of Norse mythology, Ah My Goddess, and the famous classical tune Ride of the Valkyrie, I did not even know that this character existed in any other capacity.

She captured this character’s essence and personality, and added bonus, looks amazing in this bodysuit! Not to mention braving this in the snow. It makes me want to actually look into the series now!

Valkyrie – BusanPanda

Cosplay can be so much more about creativity than it is about accuracy. When Danielle, aka BusanPanda, was creating her Valkyrie cosplay, she blended two favorite designs together to create one amazing cosplay for the Marvel heroine.

The first thing I have to bring up is that armor. The details are wonderful and it feels like her special touch is on everything. The lines are clean, the paint job is awesome, and the detail work on the arm band is amazing. Including the fur cape and boots in the fusion was a great idea; they really seem to pull the whole look together. Also, the use of a leather fabric was a great choice, as it gives it a more realistic Norse feel. Overall, I say well done, BusanPanda!
