Alexander Skarsgård Chosen for Godzilla Vs. Kong
Legendary and Warner Bros have wasted no time in moving forward with their next Godzilla movie. Despite the fact that Godzilla: King of the Monsters hasn’t even hit theaters yet, they’ve already begun casting for their next intended film.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
The filming only recently wrapped for Godzilla: King of the Monsters; the quick progress onto the next movie tells us a lot about the plans the two companies have for the Godzilla franchise. King of the Monsters releases in May 2019 and stars Millie Bobby Brown, the now famous actress from Stranger Things.
Godzilla Vs. Kong
The newest movie in the Godzilla franchise premieres sometime in 2020. The date will likely be confirmed closer to that time. They managed to land Adam Wingard for the director, and along with bringing in Alexander Skarsgård to star, reportedly Mille Bobby Brown will be making an appearance as well.
Also rumored to be joining our two stars are Eiza Gonzalez, Kyle Chandler, Julian Dennison, Ziyi Zhang, Brian Tyree Henry, and Demian Bichir. Most characters are still a mystery. Since filming hasn’t begun, nothing has been officially confirmed for many of them.
Skarsgård was born in Sweden and has made an appearance in many popular movies and shows. He played Perry Wright in Big Little Lies, Becker in The Little Drummer Girl, and many other notable roles. He’s been particularly busy as of late, with six projects in various forms of completion (including Godzilla Vs. Kong).
His character has not yet been named, but that won’t stop Godzilla fans from speculating and theorizing.
