Hans Zimmer to Compose Man of Steel Score

Hans Zimmer is a legendary composer. His career spans two decades and his music can be heard on over 50 soundtracks, ranging from classics such as Rain Man and Driving Mrs. Daisy, to lesser known endeavors such as The Dilemma. He won numerous awards including the Oscar for The Lion King, and a Saturn Award for Inception.

His most recent project, one that is of special interest to Nerds, is next summer’s Man of Steel movie. The movie is his 4th collaboration with Christopher Nolan and the first time he is working with Zack Snyder. Man of Steel is also the first time Snyder is not working with his long time composer Tyler Bates.

Is the legendary composer up to the challenge of composing for a franchise that includes the iconic score of John Williams? We will have to wait until next summer to find out.

Man of Steel will be released in theaters around the U.S. on June 14th, 2013.
