Harry Hart Returns In Kingsman Sequel

Kingsman: The Secret Service was such a great hit that there has been a sequel in the works for a long while now. Little by little, there have been title reveals (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), cast additions, and promotional photos being released, some hinting at the return of Harry Hart(Colin Firth), who was presumed dead in the conclusion of The Secret Service. Independent reported that this past weekend, Pedro Pascal took to Instagram with a photo that can be taken as possibly the most solid confirmation to date that Harry Hart will reappear in The Golden Circle, despite receiving a fatal gunshot wound. How did he survive that?

The Cast Indicates The Success

Given Firth’s stellar filmography(The Importance of Being Earnest, Bridget Jones Series), it can be rest assured that he will not opt to re-appear in the sequel if was not well-written. And with Matthew Vaughn(Stardust, Kick-Ass, Layer Cake) yet again at the helm as co-writer and director, it is a safe bet that The Golden Circle will be a stable sequel. The current cast reveal also indicates a good time. In addition to the return of Taron Egerton and Mark Strong, The Golden Circle cast includes Halle Berry, As well as Julianne Moore as the villain of the hour, Poppy.

Plot or Plot Twists?

The question is the minds of many is “how will Harry Hart be resurrected?” There is not much one can do once you have been shot to the face. Vaughn cheekily said that they considered having him start the movie by walking out of a sauna as if the gunshot was a dream. This is not an impossible concept, as this is a plot that has been used before, in movies such as Cowboy Beebop. However, that sort of plot twist can only go so far, and may not do the film proper justice. Kingsman: The Golden Circle is scheduled to be released June 16th, 2017.
