Hulk Gladiator Armor Revealed At SDCC

cod-egmvuaivcvl-191831With SDCC in full swing and all the big shows are armed with big reveals, it is only expected that the Marvel Cinematic Universe team would have some big reveals of their own. With Thor: Ragnarok being among the upcoming blockbusters, they revealed images of The Hulk’s gladiator armor today at the SDCC panel. The movie follows the canon stories from both the Ragnarok stories as well as Planet Hulk. The exact recipe of how much they take from each story still remains to be seen, but they have been cooking up a heck of a lot of amazing since the beginning, so there is faith that this will continue.

Theory Of Things To Come

In addition to our leads Thor and Bruce Banner/Hulk, we see the return of Loki, Heimdall, and Odin, as well as new members to the MCU and Thor story-line that include Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. The gladiator armor and the presence of the Grandmaster definitely indicates that there will be a significant chunk of the Planet Hulk story present in the film. MCU has rarely made a move without a purpose, so it is an indicator that great things are to come. With several movies in the MCU set to be released before this, we might get to see a build up towards the events of Thor: Ragnarok as usual, however, the Thor and Hulk story arcs may also be a little detached from the other Phase 3 movies, as the focus seems to be less on the team element, and more on each major characters’ journey after Civil War, plus a few side characters such as Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. These will eventually lead up to the Infinity War movies, which is expected to feature nearly 100 MCU characters.   cod-cjwukaevq0h-191829

Thor: Ragnarok is set for release in November of 2017.
