The international trailer for Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla remake was released online on Tuesday with additional footage not shown in the North American version. Somehow this international trailer is missing some of the intensity that Bryan Cranston brought in the original, but it is no less powerful when similar shots of Godzilla are shown. This trailer is missing all references to the other monster that Godzilla is rumored to be fighting replaced with scenes of David Strathairn and a slightly longer scene with Ken Watanabe. There are a few shots of Godzilla’s tail to pretty much sum up any new footage revealed. Although it is missing some of the punch that made this original trailer so popular to fans, it still leaves you with the feeling that this film is going to be a major contender for box office dollars this summer. Godzilla opens in theaters on May 16.
