Video Game Stan

Stan Lee and Spider-Man are two peas in a pod. Obviously being one of Stan’s greatest co-creations at Marvel the two synonymous together. Stan Lee has made a ton of appearances /cameos in Spider-Man material throughout the years. Whether that be a comic book likeness infiltrating the wall-crawlers monthly series. Stan has certainly had many great cameos alongside the wall-crawler on his different film adaptations. He has even had appearances in most of his video games, but only one where Stan swings through the rooftops of New York City!

Stan Does Whatever a Spider Can

Polygon has the notes of how Stan Lee became Spider-Man in the 2012 Amazing Spider-Man video game. Apparently, you could buy an extra mission in the game.  That mission put you in control of Stan “The Man” Lee as he thwipped through New York City collecting scripts. Of course, Stan did the voice over for himself so you can hear him quip throughout the entirety of the mission. Stan Lee spoke about it back in 2012.

It is quite odd yet enjoyable to see Stan pull off moves that we only see Spider-Man do. He jumps, flips and wall crawls throughout the city. He was always “spry” for his age but nothing like this! It must have been more than a delight for Stan to see when this first happened. Seeing himself become one of his heroes.

Forever Remembered

This is yet another classic “cameo” for fans to enjoy. With his recent passing, we can at least fondly look upon this and many others and remember Stan at his best. Without out a doubt, he has a tall legacy and it is hard to pick out a favorite moment for Lee. He has been in just about everything to do with Marvel. This though may be his most “active” role ever!
