Press Release

Jason Aaron to Take Over Thor

Marvel continue with their Marvel Now! teasers, this time announcing that Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic will be taking over the relaunch of Thor.

The comic will be brought to you by the new team in November of this year, the same month as Invincible Iron Man. Yesterday we gave you that teaser, suggesting this might have the tagline ‘Thunder’.

We were slightly out, as this comes with ‘Worthy’, probably due to the fact “who ever is worthy shall lift the hammer”.

Jason Aaron currently writes Wolverine and the X-Men, but as a reassurance to fans, he tweeted last night he will continue with that title. He said, “And also, in answer to questions, yes, I am still writing WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN, and hope to continue to do so for a very long time.”

Thor has been through a lot of changes recently. He died not too long ago and was replaced, but soon found his way back into the fold of Marvel books. With a second film on the way, it was inevitable.

We also know that Thor will be part of the Uncanny Avengers team, which will be the flagship book to Marvel Now!. It will be interesting to see how close the books get.

Are you looking forward to Thor by Jason Aaron? Will it affect his other books? Is Thor a character fans are interested in?
