Justice League: Throne of Atlantis Trailer

The tease coming at the end of Justice League: War was the introduction of the Atlanteans.  Now as promised Justice League: Throne of Atlantis picks up shortly after those events and is based from the New 52 Justice League and Aquaman crossover event Throne of Atlantis.

In Justice League: War, Aquaman was replaced by Shazam as a founding member of the Justice League, much to the disappointment of fans.  It was soon understood why, that the setup for this sequel would involve Aquaman and fans would finally get to see him in a prominent role.

The battle with Darkseid and the forces from Apokolips had drastic consequences for Atlantis.  Orm and Black Manta are using it as an opportunity to wage war on the surface.  But Queen Atlana sees a different path for the people Atlantis and their only hope is her other son Arthur who lives on the surface unaware of his powers or destiny.  With the help of the Justice League, Arthur must take his rightful place on the throne of Atlantis and prevent a devastating war with the surface world.

The film features the voice talent of Sam Witwer (Orm/Ocean Master), Chris Gorham (The Flash), Jason O’Mara (Batman), Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman), Jerry O’Connell (Superman), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), and Sean Astin (Shazam).  Look for Justice League: Throne of Atlantis the next installment in the DC Animated universe of direct-to-video films in Spring 2015.
