Take Back the Future

Legends of Tomorrow released the first trailer for the show’s fourth season during their Comic-Con 2018 panel. The series premieres Monday, October 22nd.

Legends in the Making

Legends of Tomorrow is one of the strangest shows on mainstream television. In the third season, Gorilla Grodd traveled back in time and tried to kill Barack Obama while he was in college. Also, a Tickle Me Elmo-esque doll named Beebo saved the day last season. No, really. All hail Beebo. Strangely, Beebo’s heroic moment represented a watershed moment for the Legends of Tomorrow. The cuddly carnage signaled the team coming into their own and saving the world. Since their victory, the team decided to take it easy for a while. However, Constantine has other plans. Check out the trailer below!

See? I told you Beebo was a big deal. Anyway, the next season of The CW’s weirdest superhero show finds them readjusting the timeline in the wake of summoning Mallus. In the ensuing months, demon activity is at an all-time high and Constantine enlists the team to clean up their mess. Also, he promises encounters with a bevy of magical creatures along the way. Oh yeah, and the team decides to unwind at Woodstock where they meet a unicorn and Jimi Hendrix. This show has it all! Seriously, the entire CW trailer line-up this year promises big changes for their heroes, and that’s a very good thing.

Legends of Tomorrow is a consistently bananas show and I am genuinely glad something that strange is on television. The above trailer shows it is committed to its oddities in a big, bad way. Also, the element of Matt Ryan’s Constantine as a reluctant addition to the team is great. Even though his series was short-lived, fans liked his portrayal of the character. Chalk another salvation up to the Arrowverse. Legends of Tomorrow gets weird October 22nd, 2018 at 9 PM.
