Yoe and Marvel Are Teaming Up to Bring us a Marvel Masterwork Pin-Ups

Yoe Books, IDW Publishing, and Marvel are teaming up to bring fans a whole new series of hardcovers to fall all over.

The New Line

On April 2nd the new team announced that they’d be bringing some of the most beloved comic lines to a new format – hardcovers. The line is focusing on the Golden Age of comics, back when four colors were most commonly used.

They’ll be printing everything in a large-format hardcover style – perfect for all collectors. Between the quality of the printing and the nostalgia of the material, this line is going to be one to keep an eye on.

Marvel Masterwork Pin-Ups

The new line has been named Marvel Masterwork Pin-Ups. It will be featuring some of the most iconic work to come out of Marvel. Barry Windsor-Smith, Dan Decarlo, Don Heck, Jack Kirby, John Byrne, John Severin, John Ramita, Kim Steranko, Steve Ditko, and Wally Wood are all creators being included in the run. And that’s just to name a few!

This year marks the 80th anniversary for the Comic Giant. And yes, the timing was intentional. They wanted the two to be happening at the same time. The first volume of the collection is a whopping one hundred and twenty pages, and should run around thirty-five dollars.

All Our Heroes

So far they’re promising us favorite moments from all of the classic characters, such as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Captain Marvel, Thor, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. It’s likely that they’ll do even more than that though – especially if the initial launch sells well.

Despite just announcing the news, Marvel Masterwork Pin-Ups are already available for pre-order through most comic book stores. So be sure to check them out!
