Ming-Na Wen Has a Strong Opinion About the Last Season of Game of Thrones

Ming-Na Wen Would Have Preferred That Season 8 Game of Thrones Never Happened

Ming-Na Wen, best known for her role on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as the voice behind Mulan, has a strong opinion about the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.

Ming-Na Wen isn’t exactly the first person to express her displeasure about the last season of Game of Thrones. And she surely won’t be the last.

Fans have been vocally upset about the season, with many actually taking to the internet to sign a petition. What’s the petition for? To remake the eighth season. Now, that seems highly unlikely—no matter how many people end up signing it. But we can certainly understand why fans are so upset.

Her Take on the Matter

Ming-Na Wen took to Twitter to express her frustration with the season, especially the final episode. And once again, she won’t be the only one to do so. In fact, Ming-Na Wen was so unhappy at the time of posting her Tweet, she said she’d rather the season never existed.

Thankfully Wen wasn’t alone here, and the commiserating seemed to help her calm down. At least a little bit. And honestly, we can’t blame Wen for feeling this way. She’s made her career out of playing strong and capable women. So to see the final season and how they handled some of their female characters would understandably be upsetting to her (we assume).

The Irony

The irony of the situation is that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is expected to wrap up soon. That means that her own show will be facing the pressure to wrap it up in a way that won’t upset fans. At least this series isn’t directly following a famous book series or anything. That should help relieve some of the pressure, right?
