When Bioware first started pumping out the free DLC content for the multiplayer side of Mass Effect 3, it honestly felt like an apology, a way to soothe agitated fans angry over the poor ending to the trilogy. Now that the Extended Cut has been released and well received, free multiplayer DLC continues to pour out of the Edmonton studio. In the most recent offering, we’re headed back to Earth.
This is the one I’ve been hoping for.
The new pack includes three new maps: Vancouver, London, and Rio. It also includes three new unlockable weapons, and six (SIX!) new human N7 classes: Destroyer Soldier, Paladin Sentinel, Demolisher Engineer, Slayer Vanguard, Shadow Infiltrator, and Fury Adept.
Bioware will be present at SDCC this weekend, and we’re expecting an announcement about the rumored Leviathan DLC. But because that downloadable content is thought to be an addition to the single-player story mode, it’s probably going to cost you a few bucks. We’ll keep you updated.
Look for Mass Effect 3: Earth on July 17th, July 18th for European PS3 users.
