There is no denying that Star Wars has some of the best cinematography out there. Throughout the series’ history, the cinematography has been one of Star Wars strongest points. And it’s visual effects are among the greatest parts of the movie and the latest movie in the series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is no different. It’s visual effects even got an Academy Award nomination to prove it (along with Film Editing, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, and Best Original Score). But part of the beauty of these films is that not only does it have a beautiful cinematography, it has an amazing aural soundscape to go with it.
From John Williams’ masterpiece of a score that makes the emotional moments of The Force Awakens touch our very souls, to the sound effects that come with every creation in the Star Wars universe. It’s truly one of the greatest things about movies, that we can experience them with all of our senses. Have you ever wondered who are the voices in the background? The ones who might not be cast members but still say some of the most memorable lines of the films like “Blast that X-Wing” or the ever famous “Traitor!”?
If you’re interested in knowing the names behind those now classic lines then this will definitely interest you. The Star Wars website and Star Wars: The Force Awakens supervising sound editor, Matthew Wood, have just released a list with all the voice cameos in the movie.
