22 Avengers In All But Who Is Still Missing And Why
More character posters from Avengers: Infinity War showed up online today, bringing the total of released characters to 22. But still noticeably missing are (once again) Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). The omission no doubt has fans speculating the reasons for their absence. The story behind Ant-Man missing from the lineup may be less of a mystery. But the rumors surrounding Hawkeye continue to swirl.
Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has always seemingly been the loner of the team. Never quite comfortable with his place among the other Avengers. There are a number of fan theories that touch on the reasons. The film’s directors Joe and Anthony Russo have promised that Hawkeye has a “special spot” in the movie. But what could that be?
For right now, you can see the partial line up of characters including, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Falcon, Scarlett Witch, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Winter Soldier, War Machine, Vision, Star-Lord, Gamora, Mantis, Drax, Nebula, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Doctor Strange, Okoye, Shuri and Wong.
Of course, Loki and Thanos have yet to receive their posters, but you can bet all of the Infinity Stones that they are coming.
We’d love to hear your theories about Hawkeye, leave them in the comments section below.
Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is opening in theaters on April 27.
Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
