Does Noah Centineo Have the Power?
EW has recently noted that actor Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Fosters) is in talks to play Prince Adam, He-Man himself, in the Masters of the Universe film. The reboot of Masters of the Universe on the big screen is still in its early stages, so no official confirmation has been made. Directors Adam and Aaron Nee are set to direct the film. They are also co-writers of the screenplay with Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.
This is not the first time the legendary 1980s toy line and animated television show has hit the big screen. In 1987 Dolph Lundgren played the legendary Prince Adam in the first theatrical release, Masters of the Universe. It was not that big of a hit at the time, but now has developed quite a cult following. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe still has a bevy of fans waiting for another big-screen release.
No news yet of Noah Centineo’s workout routine? I mean, if you are going to play He-Man you are going to need to be jacked with a capital “J”! He better be hitting the gym hard if he is going to be running around in that outfit. I am talking bi’s and tri’s, chest and back, and he better not forget leg day! There ain’t nowhere to hide in that fur loincloth.
What to Expect?
It is hard to know what to expect from this new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe film. It is more than likely going to go in a very new direction from the original film and the cartoon series. Something that will appeal to the older generation that fell in love with the cartoon and toys and something that will hopefully pique the interest of a newer audience.
Do you think Noah Centineo will make a good He-Man? Are you excited for a new Masters of the Universe film? Let us know in the comments.
