Once Upon a Time – Frozen First Look

set photo AnnaStorybrooke ended with a real shock to the system last season. Elsa? The new big bad? Wasn’t there just a whole movie about how she didn’t mean to freeze Arendelle over with ice?

I have no absolute answers on that front, but some new photos and snippets have surfaced around San Diego Comic Con this past weekend. In the panel, the teaser trailer was released. There was an ominous voice over, but the snippets of character dialogue in the trailer all revolved around believing in magic again. Lots of cut shots – some from last season. And Rumpel’s big green face left us with the quote, “Magic isn’t what you see, it’s about what you feel inside.”

There was also a clip for the audience at the panel that has not been released to the public, but click the link. It elicited some uproarious applause.

Anna and Elsa at Parents' Graves

As far as where our favorite characters will be, I think the biggest question is, how will Regina react?

The cast says she is doing better. She’s understanding that Emma didn’t do anything on purpose. And Robin isn’t just dropping Regina, but he still loves his Marian, and we’ll see the love triangle play out in that relationship. However, Regina is apparently breaking Sydney Glass (The Mirror) out of a locked hospital room to get back at someone who wronged her.

With all of this going on with Regina and Emma, I felt that Henry was side-lined a little in the plot last season. This season he will be working as a stock boy at Gold’s Pawn Shop – keeping it in the family – so we will have to see some development in the relationship between Rumpelstiltskin and his grandson, especially now that Neal is gone. Producers Horowitz and Kitsis have reported that Neal will still be present on the show in the form of flashbacks, etc.

Sven Kristoff and ElsaAnd finally, Hook’s putting down the pirate garb and donning some street clothes. I don’t know how I feel about this yet, so no comment.

PabbieOne thing is for sure: Frozen will be a huge focus of this season. It is unclear whether everyone but Elsa has been in Storybrooke all along or if something brought them into town, but they should all be there: from Anna (Elizabeth Lail) to Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) to Hans (Tyler Jacob Moore) and Pabbie, who will be voiced by John Rhys-Davies.

One other new cast member is Elizabeth Mitchell, who’s role has not been revealed yet. The new season premieres September 28: I know I can’t wait to see all the new movie magic on my tv!
