More Wonder Woman 2 Cast News
At this point, most people, especially in the nerd community, know who Pedro Pascal is. He starred, however briefly, on Game of Thrones as fan favorite Oberyn “The Viper” Martell. Since then he also grabbed a leading role on the show Narcos, as Javier Peña. He later played lasso-wielding Statesman Whiskey in Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Now it looks like Pascal will get to add another feather in his acting cap: a role in Wonder Woman 2. Patty Jenkins took to Twitter today to announce his addition to the cast of the coming sequel:

The Chilean-born American actor also posted on Twitter, expressing his excitement at joining the cast:

Who can blame him, though? The first movie was a box office hit, receiving tons of praise. He’ll also get to work, again, with Patty Jenkins, as well as Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig. Wiig was previously announced to be cast as Cheetah, one of Wonder Woman’s most famous villains.
A Possible Love Interest?
There are no hints yet as to whom Pascal will be portraying yet, but Jenkins’ comments give possible hints. She has previously stated that the second film will be a lot like the first and contain love story elements.
“…she is Wonder Woman and she’s here now and she’s fully developed. It’s got great fun from the start and great big superhero presence from the start, and is funny and a great love story again and a couple new unbelievable characters who I’m so excited about, who are very different than were in the last movie.”
Pascal could potentially be great for that role, considering his charismatic and amorous performance in Game of Thrones. Nothing is guaranteed so far, so fans will just have to wait. The announced release date for Wonder Woman 2 is November 1, 2019, but we expect we’ll hear much more about the cast and plot before long.
