Inaugural Tabletop Gaming Convention Set for November 17-19 in Philadelphia
Wizards of the Coast president Chris Cocks will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural PAX Unplugged, the new tabletop-focused addition to Penny Arcade’s lineup of gaming events, taking place Friday – Sunday, Nov. 17-19 2017 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Now at the helm of Wizards of the Coast, the tabletop games publisher renowned for its work on popular franchises including Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Cocks has enjoyed a lengthy career in the gaming and tech worlds. “Wizards of the Coast is a pillar of the card, board, and role-playing gaming space, and we feel privileged to welcome them as an exhibitor to the first PAX Unplugged, and have their leader Chris Cocks deliver the show’s Storytime keynote,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade. “As massive fans of their work, as well as the other incredible properties Chris has contributed to over the years, we’re looking forward to his address in the City of Brotherly Love when PAX Unplugged kicks off this November.”
