Rising Stars in Casino Software Development

In the last decade, we have an influx of real money casinos. As such, this opened new opportunities for new game developers and software development to rise and shine. Today, the casino industry is no longer predominantly dependent on big names like Microgaming or NetEnt. They have the option to work with new game developers.

Let us take a look at a list of the rising stars in the casino software development industry. You may come across these names from time to time, so watch out and make sure you try their games.

Pragmatic Play

This is a company that has received numerous accolades, even if it is young. It has several partnerships with big names in the software development industry, such as Leo Vegas, 888, William Hill, and many more.

Here are some of its awards:

  • 2017 EGR Nordic Awards
  • 2017 EGR B2B Awards
  • Best Slot Game in 2018 by Malta Gaming Awards
  • Best Gaming Company in 2019 by MIGEA Malta iGaming

Pragmatic Play has licenses that allow it to operate in more than 20 jurisdictions. Its games are available on both desktop and mobile, plus they are available in 31 different languages.

This company is the one that introduced the world’s most sophisticated engine for iGaming. The AI machine is compatible with Sport, Bingo, and Casino games. It is an app that allows free online slots to improve their customer experience.

Vaix won the 2019 Software Rising Star in EGR. The company is currently shortlisted for two awards in the SBC 2020. It is also part of the shortlist of the EGR B2B Awards for two categories.

Vaix is not exactly a game developer, but it makes software programs that personalize a customer’s experience. For example, you have a personalized experience on YouTube, right? Vaix has software that can do the same for casinos and their users.

EvoPlay Entertainment

This company is known for its high-end graphics. Most of its games are online slot machines, and they are commonly found in many online casinos worldwide. This is the company behind globally-known titles like Indiana’s Quest and Irish Reels.

Like Vaix, EvoPlay Entertainment is on the shortlist for two categories in 2020 in the SBC Awards. They are also on the shortlist for two awards in EGR 2020.

Apart from making games, the company has engines and platforms that casino operators can use. Their game titles are mobile-ready, plus they also work perfectly on PC. All the games are in full HD.

This may be a good year for iForium. It is currently shortlisted as an awardee in the 2020 SBC Awards. In this same year, it was shortlisted for the Rising Star of the Year.

Here are the awards that the company may win:

  • Multi-Channel Supplier Award
  • Innovation in RNG Casino Software
  • Rising Star of the Year

The company was awarded ISO 27001 certification recently, and this is a testament to its undying commitment to creating new technologies for the gambling industry. iForium is a B2B supplier, which means that its products primarily serve casinos, not players.

NSoft is primarily a sports betting service provider. It has virtual races, live match betting, and pre-match betting systems. Apart from these systems, they also provide platforms and administrative suites to casino operators.

While NSoft has not received any awards yet, it has made the shortlist for several awards in the last three years. This year, NSoft has a good chance to win one. It is again competing in the EGR Awards. There are four categories that NSoft has been nominated and shortlisted for:

  • Bing Awards
  • Best Customer Service
  • In-play Betting Software
  • Virtual Sports Supplier

NSoft not only makes sports betting systems, but also table games like roulette, plus lottery systems.

Graphyte AI

Graphyte bagged the Software Rising Star Award by EGR in 2020. Founded in 2018, the company has strong leadership, considering that the founder is the former Director of Analytics in Ladbrokes.

Graphyte is not a game developer, but it makes software that casinos use to run their businesses. For example, it has engagement software where the casinos could send messages to their players. They also have software that allows casinos and players to personalize their casino lobby.

Year after year, we will see many more technology companies on the rise. It is only a matter of who survives the tough competition. Always be on the lookout for game developers and software developers. Surely, there is one company that is going to take a big risk and bring in better technologies that can drastically improve both casino and user experiences.
